Job Description

 
  • Responsible for formulation & execution of the commercial strategy for the Japanese industrial coating service market, to drive profitable growth of the business unit.
  • Strategy / market research: leading market analysis including defining market size, segmentation, application groups, defining market/ customer needs for the Japanese industrial market. Creating clear focus areas in terms of which sub segments and application groups to focus.
  • Business Case: Preparation of relevant business cases where necessary motivating investments for growing the business in Japan. In particular the business case for the investment into future operations footprint.
  • Building the AMI and IE BU Japan team including Sales & marketing, application development, operations and quality functions that support and underpin the growth strategy.
  • Manage strategic sales initiative for developing the Japanese market including focus segments, target customers, application groups & solutions.
  • Customer acquisition: drive customer acquisition via prospecting and working closely with targeted customers in relevant segments / application groups.
  • Drive opportunity pipeline by offering differentiated solutions with unique technologies with superior quality and on time delivery.
  • Project Management: responsible for managing customer projects / opportunities bringing them to commercial success.
  • Key Account Management: Manage relationships with Key Accounts within the European decorative segment.
  • Maintain a very close collaboration and teamwork with the other business units (NFBU, Sydrogen) to utilize synergies and promote teamwork.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science, BSC
  • At least 10 years’ experience in engineering, operations and sales & marketing and/or business development
  • Business experience in a global coatings technology industry, fast-paced, high growth deep technology/manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of the Japanese Industrial market for thin film coatings.
  • Strategic mindset, analytical and problem-solving skills, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Maturity, low ego and teamwork approach.
