The NTI-NTU Corporate Lab is a collaboration between Nanofilm and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and supported by Singapore under RIE 2025 which emphasizes Singapore’s commitment to research and innovation to drive economic growth and address national challenges.
This Corporate Lab consists of 4 research thrusts adopted from Nanofilm’s business units and will focus on 10 projects for the 5 years from 2023 to 2028.
The researchers from Nanofilm and NTU will come together to advance the knowledge on:
Technologies that are cost-effective and overcome the challenges of depositing protective and functional coatings at a faster rate and over a large area.
Advanced Materials that form coatings with functional and decorative applications, such as coatings to protect surfaces from wear and tear ,corrosion, anti-reflective and anti-fingerprint coatings, and alternatives to anti-stick solutions in the market.
Nanofabrication technologies that enable fabrication of nanoscale optical and sensory components such as lenses that can be used in augmented and virtual reality devices.
Hydrogen Energy, with a focus on fuel cell technologies for affordable and sustainable hydrogen energy.
